Family Therapy

During family therapy we explore relationships between all members of the family unit, family of origin, and the historical family. We address issues concerning how the current family system relates, maintains, and develops. Family therapy can help develop understanding of how/why behaviors, actions/reactions occur within relationships. It can help caregivers develop skills to help manage behaviors, actions/reactions within home and community; bring higher levels of communication between caregivers and children while maintaining and developing healthy boundaries. All members of the family unit are required to attend the first 4 therapy sessions to help the provider build rapport and framework to best help the family. Family therapy is for ages birth and up*.

30-60 mins

**Children ages 0-15 are required to have 1 caregiver present during group/individual/family therapy due to their physical and cognitive development. Children 0-5 of age need primary caregiver engagement in services to produce sustainable results.* *
